Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is seeking a sanitation associate for the 2nd shift. You will clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas according to established procedures and timelines, while strictly following Tyson sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety policies.

You will maintain a safe work environment, handle chemicals with care, and comply with PPE requirements. The role involves physically demanding tasks and reporting any safety concerns to leadership,

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas according to procedures and timelines.
• Follow Tyson sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety policies.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment including proper use of chemicals and PPE.
• Perform physical tasks: standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to leadership.
• Support team members and contribute to sanitation process improvements.

• Safely perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 45 lbs., depending on department needs).
• Work in varying environmental conditions, including:
• Cold areas (approximately 55°F)
• Hot or humid areas (up to approximately 80°F)
• Wet and/or slippery surfaces
• Report any unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or sanitation concerns to leadership immediately.
• Support team members and contribute to continuous improvement in sanitation processes.

Requirements

• Applicants must be able to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a visit to the facility.
• Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
