Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking General Labor Associates on 2nd shift at our Milwaukee production facilities. The role offers hands-on manufacturing experience with opportunities to advance into welding, assembly, fabrication, and related trades.

This position is onsite 5 days a week with a 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM CT schedule. Ideal candidates will be motivated, dependable, and capable of performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards and quality

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform manual labor in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work well in a team.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Weld Prep – grind and sand steel components to prep for blast and paint.
• Sanding – prep steel and aluminum components for the build process.
• Build – assist with assembling generator enclosures, fuel tanks, and modular metal structures.
• Breakout – organize, stage, and prepare materials to support production operations.
• Finishing – perform final touch-ups, inspections, and prep for shipment or next stage.
• Shop Cleaning – maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Overview:

We are seeking motivated General Labor Associates - 2nd Shift at our production facilities in the Milwaukee area. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on manufacturing experience and develop skills that can lead to advancement opportunities within the company.

Opportunities are available in:

• Weld Prep – Grinding and sanding steel to prepare components for blast and paint.
• Sanding – Sanding and prepping steel and aluminum components for the build process.
• Build – Assisting with the assembly of generator enclosures, fuel tanks, and modular metal structures.
• Breakout – Organizing, staging, and preparing materials and components to support production operations.
• Finishing – Performing final touch‑ups, inspections, and preparation of completed products prior to shipment or the next stage of production.
• Shop Cleaning – Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including general housekeeping and emptying trash bins.
