Job summary

The Advance Group is partnering with a growing manufacturing team in Waterville, OH, inviting candidates with manufacturing experience and strong attendance to apply for the General Labor – Finishing & Grinding role on 1st shift. This position emphasizes deburr, finish, and grind tasks, with a focus on quality and safety in an industrial setting.

Move across production and finishing areas as needed, maintain organized workspaces, and contribute to meeting production goals.

• Experience in manufacturing, production, grinding, deburring, finishing or general labor.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/background screening.

Job Duties for General Labor

• Deburr, finish, and grind metal parts in a manufacturing environment
• Inspect finished parts and identify quality concerns or defects
• Perform offhand grinding and inspection using visual inspection and feel
• Follow production and quality standards to minimize scrap and maintain efficiency
• Work in various production and finishing areas throughout the facility
• Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Support production goals by producing quality work in a timely manner
• Work with industrial equipment and manufacturing tools in a hands-on environment

Requirements for General Labor

• Previous manufacturing, production, grinding, deburring, finishing, or general labor experience
• Strong attention to detail required
• Ability to identify quality issues and follow production standards carefully
• Reliable attendance required; attendance impacts quarterly bonus eligibility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly
• Steel-toed boots required
• Comfortable working in areas that may be dusty or dirty at times
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn required
• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/background screen

Shift for General Labor

• Monday-Friday
• 1st Shift: Typically 5:00am-1:30pm
• Occasional overtime until 3:30pm
• Rare Saturday overtime opportunities

Pay for General Labor

• $18.00/hr
• Potential flexibility based on relevant experience
• Once hired in, eligible for a scrap bonus up to $2/hr depending on scrap rate and attendance
