Job summary

Cascades in Piscataway, NJ is hiring a General Labor to join our production team. You’ll be on the floor handling materials, cleaning work areas, and supporting operators in a fast-paced environment where safety comes first.

The role requires a minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to read a tape measure. We offer 12-hour shifts, overtime options, and benefits including profit sharing and health and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Clean area, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork.
• Assist crew and/or perform other work as needed and assigned by management.

What you’ll do

As aGeneral Labor, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape.
Your day-to-day:

• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Performing basic mathematical calculations and using a tape measure periodically
• Working with machinery in a high paced environment
• Reviewing work schedule, checking equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled
• Cleaning area, securing all equipment and machinery, and completing all required paperwork
• Assisting crew and/or performing other work as needed and assigned by management

Your strengths as a General Labor

You are a natural fit for this role if:

• Must have 6months minimum manufacturing experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer literacy and ability to read tape measure, caliper and production layouts
• Safety and Quality driven mindset
• Availability and flexibility to work a 12 hour shift schedule; including overtime, weekends and holidays depending on production/business needs
• The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Be comfortable working in an environment with varying noise and temperature levels
