Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Texas is seeking a General Labor to safely handle lumber products and verify material meets customer requirements. You will move, stack, label, and secure lumber according to instructions and company policy, while keeping accurate production records and a clean work area.

No formal experience is required, but basic math skills and a willingness to learn are valued. The role supports safety programs and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products according to instructions and policy.
• Stack finished products to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count and apply tags.
• Band, bundle and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets and keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
