Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor team member in Muscle Shoals, AL. The role focuses on safely handling lumber products and verifying material meets customer requirements.

You will move, stack, label, and tag materials, while adhering to company policies and quality standards. Responsibilities include inventory tagging, production record-keeping, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Must be 18+, with HS diploma preferred; no prior experience required though

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to policy and customer requirements.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports problems to supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participates in safety and other programs and meetings.
