Job summary

Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment is seeking a field construction worker in Indiana to perform a variety of duties in the field. You will punch in on time, dig trenches, assist with pipe installations, locate utilities, move materials, and help in setup and breakdown of work zones while following safety regulations.

Responsibilities include aiding traffic control, restoring sites, reading prints, and adhering to OSHA and company safety rules.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Read and interpret engineered drawings.
• Language: Read, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Punches in on time and is available for work at the beginning of each workday.
• Digs ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels and other tools.
• Assist in installation of pipes and risers.
• Assist in locating utilities and set pedestals.
• Load, unload, and identify job materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications.
• Push and/or pull cable.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of work zone.
• Aids in traffic control.
• Assists construction crew in completion of work assigned.
• Seed straw and restore job site.
• Follow all safety regulations and standards.
• Notifies supervisor of any unsafe equipment or working conditions.
• Attends safety meetings as required.
• Is neatly groomed and wears company uniform.
• Read and check prints.
• Receives an annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better or a plan is in place to achieve that result.
• Follows company, customer and OSHA Safety rules and regulations while in field.
• Performs any other duty or assignment as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
