Cascades in Birmingham is seeking a General Labor to support daily operations on the production floor. You will handle materials, operate forklifts, and ensure safety on the job. Training starts on day shift before transitioning to night shift.

The role requires basic computer use and a willingness to participate in safety and quality checks, with full training provided. This is a team-oriented position focused on reliable material handling and production support.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong safety mindset is critical.

• Operate forklift and clamp truck safely.

• Conduct quality tests on raw materials and finished goods.

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

What you’ll do

As a General Labor, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape.

Your day-to-day:

• Ability to drive forklift and clamp truck in a safe manner
• Prepping the raw material at the load stand area
• Do all raw material and finished good quality tests
• Prepping the finished roll and pallets by using proper packaging instructions
• Assist in any needs in the production area

Your strengths as a General Labor

You are a natural fit for this role if:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Capable of lifting to 40 lbs.
• Some computer experience - SAP experience is a plus
• Ability to take initiative and be flexible
• May be required to complete mechanical and personality testing
• Strong safety mindset is critical
