Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a Lab Assistant to support the General Lab-Days-Ref Lab team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves specimen collection, receipt, and processing, as well as sample preparation for analytical testing.

The position may perform waived or limited moderate complexity testing if CLIA requirements are met and under direction of senior staff. Adherence to policies and regulatory standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; must be 18+ for phlebotomy.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification required by state regulations.
• DHS fingerprinting certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid state driver’s license; eligible for company auto insurance.
• Progression through career ladder II–IV subject to ladder requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical lab staff with collection, receipt and processing of specimens.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing.
• Perform waived and/or limited moderate complexity testing if qualified.
• Follow established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; comply with professional standards.
