The City of Fort Collins is seeking a General Interest Instructor - Education to create and lead educational classes for the community. The General Interest Instructor - Education instructs and leads a variety of educational classes, approved by the Sr Recreation Coordinator of Education, to to community members. The position also manages people safely in indoor and outdoor environments.

Must be able to communicate effectively with participants, staff, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to handle emergency situations including: the ability to make quick, decisive, and safe actions; communicate calmly; and de-escalate tension and stress. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to various weather conditions including rain, snow, wind, hail and heat.
