Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a responsible General Highway Laborer to perform highway maintenance tasks, traffic control setups, and related duties.

Qualifications include a HS diploma, 18+ years, a valid driver’s license with 5 years clean MVR, OSHA 10, and ATSSA Traffic Control Certification; ability to lift 50–60 lbs and work flexible hours. Prevailing wage rates apply; join the DCS family today.

• 5 years clean MVR (motor vehicle record).
• OSHA 10 and up-to-date medical card required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Certification (can be provided by the company if not already certified).
• Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Comfortable and capable of working from various heights.
• Experience with landscaping and weed whacking is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks, such as bridge cleaning, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Set up and take down temporary traffic control systems daily.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Operate company vehicles as required.
• Use all equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.

This individual will be responsible for performing various highway maintenance tasks, including traffic control set-ups, cleaning, and tree/brush removal.
