Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is a family‑owned contractor providing highway maintenance across the United States. We seek a responsible General Highway Laborer in Massachusetts to perform traffic control setup, cleaning, and vegetation removal with a strong work ethic.

You’ll inspect equipment, operate vehicles, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. DCS offers great compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off, with prevailing wage rates

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 5 years clean MVR.
• OSHA 10 and up-to-date medical card required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Certification (can be provided by the company).
• Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds.
• Flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Experience with landscaping and weed whacking.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks such as bridge cleaning and vegetation removal.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Set up and take down temporary traffic control systems daily.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
• Operate company vehicles as required.
• Use all equipment and tools safely and effectively.

Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is looking for a responsible, motivated, and skilled General Highway Laborer with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This individual will be responsible for performing various highway maintenance tasks, including traffic control set-ups, cleaning, and tree/brush removal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks, such as bridge cleaning, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Set up and take down temporary traffic control systems daily.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Operate company vehicles as required.
• Use all equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Experience:

• 18+ years of age or older
• Must have a valid drivers license
• 5 years clean MVR (motor vehiclerecord)
• OSHA 10 and up-to-date medical card required
• ATSSA Traffic Control Certification (can be provided by the company if not already certified).
• Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Comfortable and capable of working from various heights.
• Experience with landscaping and weed whacking is required.
