Job summary

H2ajobs seeks workers for cattle feeding operations in North Dakota. You will operate towed feeder wagon equipment, feed and bed cattle, and monitor health conditions. Tasks include grinding feed, vaccinating, branding and ear tagging, with routine maintenance of machinery and facilities.

Strong English skills are required for record-keeping and safety. Housing and meals are provided by the employer. A current driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 60 days is required.

Job description

Employees will operate equipment with towed feeder wagon implements designated for feeding and bedding cattle.

Check pens for water, cleanliness, and health conditions of the animals. They will grind feed, vaccinate, brand, and tag the ears of the animals. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Routine maintenance must be done on machinery, grounds, and structures.

Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No Texting. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.

Must have a current driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 60 days.

Employees must have three months of tractor-driving experience and cattle experience with computerized monitors. They must speak, read, write, and understand English language for record-keeping and safety reasons.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Workers are provided with a fully furnished kitchen where they can make their meals.

When they cannot return to their home base for meals they will be provided with coolers to pack their lunches.

They will be provided with transportation to the closest supermarket once a week where they can purchase groceries and personal items. Distance to nearest grovery store 10 miles.

Transport: When worker has completed 50% of the contract Employer will reimburse worker the cost of airfare and daily subsistence a minimum reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and a maximum reimbursement of $ 68.00 per day. (Receipts required) from place of recruitment (inbound) to placement of work. Upon completion of contract employer will pay return cost of airfare (outbound)to place of recruitment, except when worker does not return to place of original recruitment or an extension is filed
