Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking farm workers in North Dakota to operate farm equipment with towed implements, feed and bed cattle daily, and monitor water fountains and herd health.

You will assist with calving, care for newborn calves, and perform routine maintenance on machinery, fences, and snow removal. Housing and meals are provided; transportation to town and groceries is arranged; a current driver's license and three months tractor handling experience are required; English is essential for safety.

Job description

Employees will operate equipment with towed implements designated for feeding and bedding cattle daily and will check the condition of water fountains and the health of the animals. Workers help with calving the herd and care for new born. Routine maintenance will need to be done on machinery, grounds and structures including fencing and snow removal.

Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No texting. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.

Must have a current drivers license

Workers must have three months tractor driving with computerized monitors experience and cattle experience

No education level required.

Must be able to speak, understand and read English for safety reasons.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities When they cannot return to their home base for meals they will be provided with coolers to pack their lunches

The workers will be provided with transportation to the closest supermarket once a week where they can purchase groceries and personal items.

Transport: Will reimburse the workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.

Half the cost at the 50% of the contract completion and the last 50% at the end of their contract.

Experience wanted: 3 months

A general driver's license is required. Need a valid license in order to drive the farm truck around the farm, to get supplies or just necessities.
