Job summary

Acument Global Technologies - North America is seeking a versatile manufacturing operator to perform material handling, equipment setup and operation, and quality inspection on various machines. You will ensure parts meet specifications and assist with documentation and continuous improvement.

The role requires good communication, teamwork, and the ability to read blueprints and apply SPC where needed. Valid driver's license and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.
  • Use math skills for blueprint reading and SPC.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.
  • Provide written communication as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Set-up and operate equipment as required, including Butt Welder, Wire Drum, Straightener, and other industrial equipment.
  • Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Sorting and inspection of manufactured parts.
  • Perform the duties required for any necessary documentation.
  • Move material by operating a forklift or using non-motorized devices.
  • Assist other operators as needed.
  • Suggest process improvement ideas.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.
Preferred
  • Some mechanical or technical training
  • Forklift operation/material-handling experience
  • Experience operating multiple-types of manufacturing equipment
