Job summary

FXI is seeking a General Factory worker to assemble, pack, load and fabricate parts per customer specifications. You will read work orders, apply adhesives, and pack parts while maintaining quality and cleanliness on the production floor.

Ideal candidates read and speak English, can lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours, and read measuring devices. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reads and follows directions and work orders accurately.
• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally as required by tasks.
• Ability to apply common sense and solve basic problems on the line.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, packs, loads, fabricates parts or unloads materials.
• Reads and follows orders to apply adhesive, assemble and pack parts.
• Follow safety policies, 5S, and directions from leads.

Essential duties

• Specific tasks may include: wrapping, baling, packaging, press operation, and housekeeping
• Reads and understands work orders to accurately apply adhesive, assemble and pack fabricated parts according to customer specifications
• Understands and follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding customer specifications
• Verifies conformance to specifications using a tape measure.
• Understands and follows written and/or verbal direction from Group Leads
• Maintains daily 5s in general area of responsibility
• Follow 5s and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, skills, experience:

• Able to read, write and speak English
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to stand and walk for 8 hours
• Able to read measuring devices

Preferred Education / Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
