The Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Engineer, Project Management Division, is seeking an exceptional General Engineer or Architect (Senior Project Manager) to oversee major construction projects with agency-wide impact. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive project management from conceptual design to commissioning.
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for this position. All eligibility and qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has provided you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. It must be relevant to the position and typically at or above the next lower grade level.
For the GS-14 level, candidates must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent in the Federal service. The specialized experience for this position must demonstrate the following:
