Gradient Financial Group seeks a General Counsel to lead legal and compliance for a family of financial services companies. You will advise executives, draft contracts, monitor regulatory changes, and guide mergers and strategic partnerships.

You bring a J.D., Minnesota license, and 1+ year of legal practice, plus strong research and policy-writing skills to support risk management and business growth within a collaborative, in-office-heavy environment with selective remote work.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Minnesota bar license in good standing required.
• 1+ years of experience practicing as an attorney required.
• Financial services or compliance experience preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills; ability to write effective policies and procedures.
• Experience with regulators (e.g., state insurance departments).

• Provide legal and compliance guidance to support business goals and minimize risk.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and corporate documents.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and business partnerships.
• Identify legal risks and develop solutions balancing compliance with business objectives.
• Advise leadership and business partners on legal matters and regulatory requirements.
• Lead compliance initiatives, conduct legal research, and support investigations.
• Develop and deliver legal and compliance training for employees and affiliates.
• Manage legal projects and external relationships.
