Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking a Construction Estimator in Naples, FL to develop budgets from preliminary drawings through final documents. You will partner with clients, architects, engineers, PMs, subcontractors, and trade partners throughout pre-construction to drive cost certainty for luxury projects.

The role requires 8+ years in construction estimating, strong Excel skills, and experience with takeoff software.

Established for more than 30 years, the company specializes in high-end residential construction and renovation throughout Naples and Southwest Florida.

About the Position

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for developing detailed and accurate project budgets from preliminary drawings through final construction documents. This role will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and trade partners throughout the pre-construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and timely budgets for luxury new construction and renovation projects.
• Support the Pre-Construction and Sales team by providing detailed project estimates and pricing.
• Review construction documents and clarify project details with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and trade partners.
• Review, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor and trade partner pricing and scopes.
• Prepare subcontractor agreements based on contract documents and defined scopes of work.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, project constraints, and material requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate pre-construction meetings and bid processes.
• Maintain current knowledge of construction costs, building codes, industry trends, and construction methodologies.
• Manage multiple estimating priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Consistently demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to honesty, integrity, communication, passion, and innovation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction estimating experience , preferably within custom luxury residential construction and renovation.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, subcontractor scopes, and project documentation.
• Custom home construction experience preferred but not required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating/takeoff software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, design professionals, project managers, subcontractors, and trade partners.

• $95,000–$105,000 base salary , depending on experience.
