Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Warren, MI is seeking an Operator (General Assembly) for a fast-paced manufacturing role. You will assemble, inspect and package components to strict specs, meeting daily targets while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and 1+ year in automotive manufacturing, with basic math, reading/comprehension skills and a collaborative team mindset. On-site role with strong safety and training emphasis.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect and package product to specs in a fast-paced setting.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality and safety.
• Move materials and boxes into containers or totes.
• Maintain production records including scrap, downtime and traceability.
• Keep work area clean and equipment maintained.
• Follow IATF 1649 and ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
• Stop process if nonconformity is detected and perform other duties as needed.

Job Duties

• Be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling, inspecting and packaging product according to strict specifications.
• Meeting daily production targets while maintaining quality control and adhering to safety protocols.
• Moves materials and boxes, packages component parts into either cardboard containers or totes.
• Maintains records of production, scrap figures, downtime and lot traceability.
• Maintains equipment and keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Follow and support company IATF 1649 and ISO 14001 policies, procedures and instructions.
• Have the ability to stop the process in the event of Nonconformity.
• Other duties as assigned in production and service areas.

Requirements

• Regular need to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; hear; taste; and smell.
• Regular need to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Regular vision requirements include the ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.

Working Conditions

• Physical ability to lift 35 lbs.
• Standing, twisting, bending and walking.
• Exposure to manufacturing/plant environment.
