Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Warren, MI is seeking an Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will assemble, inspect and package components to exact specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires good attendance, teamwork, and the ability to operate equipment, with a minimum of one year in automotive manufacturing. You will also handle material movements, record production data, and uphold IATF 1649 and ISO 14001 guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Basic math skills required.
• Reading and comprehension skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect and package products to meet specifications.
• Meet daily production targets while ensuring quality and safety.
• Move materials and boxes into containers or totes.
• Maintain production records including scrap, downtime and traceability.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Follow IATF 1649 and ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
• Capable of stopping the process in case of nonconformity.
• Perform other duties as needed in production.

Job Duties

• Be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling, inspecting and packaging product according to strict specifications.
• Meeting daily production targets while maintaining quality control and adhering to safety protocols.
• Moves materials and boxes, packages component parts into either cardboard containers or totes.
• Maintains records of production, scrap figures, downtime and lot traceability.
• Maintains equipment and keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Follow and support company IATF 1649 and ISO 14001 policies, procedures and instructions.
• Have the ability to stop the process in the event of Nonconformity.
• Other duties as assigned in production and service areas.

Requirements

• Regular need to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; hear; taste; and smell.
• Regular need to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Regular vision requirements include the ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.

Working Conditions

• Physical ability to lift 35 lbs.
