Job summary

Piper Products is seeking a General Assembler on 1st shift in Wausau, WI. You will assemble metal, stone, wood, and electrical components according to blueprints and wiring diagrams while maintaining quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
• Basic understanding of wood assembly techniques and tools preferred.
• Previous cabinet-making or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Experience following safety standards in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal, stone, wood, and electrical parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Inspect assembled products for defects or deviations from quality standards and report issues to the quality team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly challenges and improve production processes.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Meet production and quality expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
