SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem General Anesthesiologist to administer anesthesia using general, regional, and sedation techniques in the general operating room, ambulatory setting, and obstetrical suite.

The role includes supervising residents and medical students in the operating room, mentoring trainees, and fulfilling on-call coverage as needed by the department. This position is based at SUNY Downstate in New York.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients using general, regional, and sedation techniques in the general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite.
• Provide supervision for residents and medical students in the operating room as required by the department.
• Mentor residents and medical students during surgical procedures in the OR.
• Perform on-call assignments as required, including clinical service in OR, OB, and ambulatory coverage.

The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem General Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will:

• Administer anesthesia to all patients through anesthetic techniques (general, regional, & sedation) in general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite.
• Participate in clinical operating room supervision for residents and medical students as required by the department.
• Mentor residents and medical students in the operating room.
• Perform on-call assignments as required by the department, to include clinical service in general operating room, OB, and ambulatory coverage.
• Perform call commitment, as needed and/or required.
