Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health seeks a General Anesthesiologist to join Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT. You will provide anesthesia care across diverse procedures in a community setting and collaborate closely with a dedicated care team.

You will participate in quality initiatives and have teaching mentorship opportunities through Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, with relocation support of up to $15,000 to assist your move.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont.
• Experience or interest in both academic and community practice settings.
• Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for adolescent and adult patients in a community hospital.
• Care for patients undergoing general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, robotics, and other procedures.
• Manage independent cases and perform regional blocks with the surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Collaborate with physicians, CRNAs, nurses, surgeons, and colleagues to ensure quality care.
• Serve Windsor and nearby communities to improve access to services.
• Engage in quality, safety, and practice-improvement initiatives.
• Maintain opportunities for teaching and mentorship through Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
