Job summary

Sedgwick, a leading provider of claims management, seeks a General Adjuster to investigate claims against insurers for personal, casualty, or property loss in the United States, including opportunities in Oklahoma.

You will interview claimants, inspect damages, estimate costs, prepare reports, negotiate settlements, and support litigation when needed. Travelling as required and collaborating with others is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation and be pursuing another professional designation.
• Appropriate state adjuster license is required.
• Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates claims against insurance or other companies for losses.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses and reviews records for coverage.
• Estimates cost of repair or replacement and prepares settlement reports.
• Negotiates settlements and may recommend litigation when needed.
• Attends litigation hearings and revises case reserves as needed.

Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation and be actively pursuing another professional insurance designation.
