The General Accountant [I/II/III] plays a vital role in supporting the financial integrity and operational success of S.C. Swiderski’s construction, development, property management, and maintenance divisions. This position is responsible for general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting support, compliance with GAAP, and maintaining strong internal controls within a project-based and asset-intensive environment. The General Accountant collaborates closely with the Controller, Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and cross-functional operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This 3-level role progresses in independence, analytical depth, and organizational impact as the employee advances.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with extended hours as needed during month-end close, forecast cycles, and audits. Occasional travel may be required.
Professional office setting at corporate headquarters with frequent interaction across Construction, Development, Procurement, and Property Management teams.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Clear speech and hearing to facilitate effective communication.
