Job summary

PACCAR in Renton, WA is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our accounting team. You will process invoices, expense reports, intercompany transactions, and support monthly close activities.

You will work with department managers to review forecasts, analyze variances, and ensure compliance with internal controls. A 3+ year background in accounting, proficiency in MS Excel, and SAP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong written/interpersonal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, expense reports, and intercompany transactions with PO matching and approvals.
• Review AP invoices for accuracy and compliance before check runs.
• Perform PO aging analysis and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly/ quarterly closes.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Analyze monthly results and provide variance analyses for management.
• Collaborate with department managers on forecast-to-actuals and assumptions.
• Handle special projects as assigned.

Requisition Summary

This position will perform a broad range of accounts payable and accounting functions; and serve as a key member of the accounting team. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of the business through collaboration with domestic and international divisions and close interaction with cross-functional departments in a fast-paced environment.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing invoices, expense reports, and intercompany transactions; ensuring PO matching and compliance with approval authority requirements while supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations.
• Review AP invoices for accuracy and compliance prior to check runs.
• Perform purchase order aging analysis and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare and post journal entries in support of monthly and quarterly financial close activities; ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned deliverables.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Analyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analysis for management review.
• Work directly with department managers to review forecast-to-actual results, investigate variances, and gather forecast assumptions.
• Special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on MS Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Highly effective written and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• SAP Experience preferred
