Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a General Accounting Supervisor in Bellevue, WA to lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within Corporate Accounting. You will mentor staff, partner across departments, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

This role requires a strong accounting foundation and leadership in a fast-paced environment. You will drive month-end close activities, contribute to 10-Q/10-K filings, and support SOX processes while leveraging SQL, Tableau, and SAP S/4.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience (at least 2 years supervisory).
• 5+ years of FP&A, budgeting and expense analysis.

Responsibilities

• Retain, mentor, and develop staff of 1.
• Drive the annual budget for the Corporate division; coordinate deliverables.
• Manage monthly forecast for SG&A expenses and intercompany revenues.
• Partner with multiple departments to ensure accurate financial results.
• Perform actual-to-forecast analysis during month-end close and record accruals.
• Explain accounting and finance principles to non-finance partners clearly.
• Produce ad-hoc analytics and present findings to leadership.
• Support quarterly 10-Q, annual 10-K, and 11-K processes.
• Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing.

Requisition Summary

The General Accounting Supervisor is an important member of the Corporate Accounting team. This position reports to General Accounting Manager and is responsible for driving the annual budget, monthly forecast preparation and forecast to actual analysis. The position interacts frequently with department managers, Corporate Accounting Controller and may participate in meetings with senior management.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Responsible for retaining, mentoring, and developing a staff of 1.
• Drive the annual budget for the Corporate division including:
  • • Developing and communicating overall processes and timeline
    • Coordinating and compiling deliverables from department managers
    • Preparing the senior management presentation package
• Responsible for managing the monthly forecast for SG&A expenses and intercompany revenues
• Serve as key business partner working directly with multiple departments to ensure accuratefinancial results
• Perform actual to forecast analysis as part of month-end close and record accrual journal entries
• Explain accounting and finance principles to non-finance business partners in a simple andstraightforward manner
• Drive proactive ad-hoc financial analysis by identifying what information is needed, where thedata can be found and how it should be compiled, analyzed & presented
• Participate in the monthly preparation and review of internal management reporting
• Actively participate in special projects utilizing analytical skills to make recommendations
• Support PACCAR's quarterly external 10Q, annual 10K and 11K processes
• Participate in documentation and testing for Sarbanes Oxley

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field required
• 7+ years of relevant accounting or work experience (at least 2 years supervisory)
• 5+ years of work experience with Financial Planning and Analysis, budgeting and expenseanalysis

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Experience with SAP S/4
• Experience with AI tools
