GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. is seeking a Research Scientist II in Gene R&D to drive high-throughput sequencing library prep development and data interpretation.

Based in Piscataway, NJ, the role is onsite and involves coordinating with multiple teams to advance projects. The candidate will design customized library preps across sequencing platforms (Illumina, ONT), analyze complex datasets, and contribute to tech transfer activities within the US Molecular Biology Gene R&D department.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing scalable NGS workflows in pharma/biotech.
• Experience designing customized library preps for high-throughput sequencing (Illumina and ONT).
• Broad molecular biology and microbiology knowledge with ability to apply scientific reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods.
• Manage project timelines and leverage internal resources to push projects forward.
• Generate, analyze, interpret and present data to a broader team.
• Communicate with other teams to ensure smooth tech transfer.
