GenScript is seeking a Research Scientist II in Gene R&D based onsite in Piscataway, NJ. The role focuses on developing high-throughput sequencing library prep methods, managing timelines, and presenting data to drive project progress.

Strong bioinformatics and coding skills are essential. The position requires a PhD and 2+ years of NGS experience, with preference for experience in clinical sample workflows and familiarity with Illumina/ONT platforms.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing scalable NGS workflows in biotech/pharma.
• Experience designing library preps for Illumina and ONT platforms.
• Strong bioinformatics pipeline development and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods.
• Manage project timeline and leverage internal resources to push projects forward.
• Generate, analyze, interpret and present data to a broader team.
• Communicate with other teams to ensure smooth tech transfer.
