Job summary

UN Women is seeking a consultant to assess capacity and develop a plan to strengthen gender-responsive services for women victims of violence in the West Bank. This home-based assignment involves field visits to partner offices and collaboration with UN Women’s and government counterparts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in gender equality, women’s rights and violence against women.
• Experience developing assessments, policies, capacity building plans or guidelines on VAW, women’s access to justice and/or gender equality.
• Experience with the social protection system in Palestine and the National Referral System is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the institutional and human resources capacities of the Governorate’s Affairs Office and district offices.
• Identify capacity development needs and priorities to deliver gender-responsive, survivor-centered services.
• Develop an inception report, capacity-building plan and final narrative report with annexes.
