UNICEF is seeking a consultant to advance gender equality in and through education, supporting country initiatives like the Gender at the Centre Initiative (GCI). The role involves research, knowledge generation, learning facilitation, and partnerships to scale evidence-based approaches across diverse education contexts.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or higher in gender, women’s studies, child rights, international relations, international development, political science, sociology, psychology or economics.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in education, gender equality or child rights across diverse contexts including emergencies.
• At least 5 years of experience in programming related to gender equality in education.
• At least 5 years of experience working with governments, especially Ministries of Education.
• Experience partnering with other education and gender stakeholders, including CSOs and youth networks.
• Demonstrated experience in advocating for women’s and girls’ rights.
• Experience in training MoE officials and partners using standard tools, including the Gender Responsive Education Sector Planning tool.
