Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced software engineer to build frontier-quality GenAI assets for the FAI team.

You will design, build, and maintain systems that support training and evaluation of GenAI models at large scale, collaborating closely with Applied Scientists to turn research into reliable tooling. You will work in a fast-moving environment, delivering high-quality software on tight schedules, and contribute to model evaluation, experimentation planning, and scalable

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, incl. design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• 3+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software systems.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core tooling for agentic pipeline workflows to produce frontier-level assets, including RL gyms.
• Partner with product teams and scientists to create new techniques and tooling for emerging research capabilities and model evaluation aligned to customer needs.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to investigate and plan experiments, prototype new technology, and assess technical feasibility.
• Operate in a fast-moving environment, delivering high-quality software against tight schedules.
