Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to closely partner with early-stage founders in San Francisco. You will design scalable architectures, guide GenAI initiatives, and help startups navigate rapid growth while balancing speed and reliability.

You will build lasting relationships, contribute technical content, and represent AWS at startup and developer events. This role emphasizes practical, hands-on guidance to turn founders' ideas into production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with early-stage founders to design and iterate on architectures that scale as they grow.
• Help startups navigate the GenAI landscape, selecting foundation models and AI services to build production-ready AI products.
• Guide founders through challenges of building GenAI apps, including costs, latency, accuracy, safety, and best practices.
• Support startups in building data foundations to power AI products (vector databases, data pipelines, RAG, fine-tuning).
• Build relationships within San Francisco's startup ecosystem with accelerators and VC firms.
• Be a voice for founders, connecting feedback to product and engineering teams to shape tools and services.
• Create technical content for startups, such as blog posts, reference architectures, and sample code.
• Share expertise at startup events, demo days, and developer meetups to build trust and visibility.
