Amazon AWS seeks a Senior Startup Solutions Architect in San Francisco to work closely with early-stage founders, crafting pragmatic architectures that scale with growth and guiding them from concept to production. You will lead GenAI initiatives, data foundation work, and cloud patterns while building relationships with accelerators and VCs.

The role blends hands-on architecture with knowledge sharing through content and events in San Francisco's vibrant startup ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with early-stage founders to design architectures scalable for growth.
• Help startups navigate GenAI landscape, selecting foundation models and AI services to build prod-ready AI products.
• Guide founders through GenAI challenges: costs, latency, accuracy, safety, and best practices.
• Support building data foundations: vector databases, data pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning workflows.
• Build relationships within SF's startup ecosystem with accelerators and VCs.
• Be a voice for founders, feeding feedback to product and engineering teams to shape tools and services.
• Create technical content (blog posts, reference architectures, sample code) for founders.
• Present at startup events, demo days, and meetups to build trust and visibility.
