Job summary

Micron Technology in Manassas, VA seeks an AI Product Engineer to own the end-to-end AI product lifecycle within the business function. You will lead discovery, translate business needs into user stories, and drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

You will prototype GenAI/LLM solutions, integrate via APIs, and collaborate with data engineering, UX/UI teams, and stakeholders to scale impactful AI products.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Data Science, Business Management, Information Systems, or related area.
• 3+ years in product management/ownership, data science, software development, or data engineering in semiconductor or related field.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM/GenAI applications with Python, SQL, and data manipulation skills.
• Experience with software engineering fundamentals including testing, version control, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle for AI solutions in the business function, including vision, roadmap, backlog, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead discovery activities: user research, persona development, and requirements gathering; maintain product vision and prioritized backlog.
• Translate customer needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria; facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and releases.
• Prototype GenAI and Agentic AI solutions, including prompt/context engineering and evaluation.
• Integrate LLMs via APIs, function/tool calling, and structured outputs; validate AI agents for workflows.
• Partner with data engineering to identify data sources, design pipelines/ETL, ensure data quality, governance, and observability.
• Direct UX/UI design with developers; lead training, change management, and adoption strategy; build feedback loops.
