Cardinal Health – Sonexus Health Pharmacy Services is seeking an AI Engineer to design and deliver scalable GenAI-powered solutions for healthcare and life sciences, focusing on agentic AI, orchestration, and LLMs. You will work with product, engineering, data, and business teams to ensure AI solutions are reliable, compliant, and aligned with HIPAA and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/AI/ML.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python and one of Java/.NET/C#.
2+ years building GenAI/LLM apps in enterprise environments.
Experience designing agentic or multi-step AI workflows.
Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments (Azure and/or GCP).
Familiarity with HIPAA/compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and deploy Generative AI apps using RAG, prompt engineering, and vector search.
Build Python APIs and software components to support AI services.
Develop multi-step, agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex.
Integrate AI capabilities into healthcare workflows.
Deploy, monitor, and optimize GenAI models and pipelines with MLOps.
Collaborate on security, privacy, and compliance.
Document designs and best practices for enterprise reuse.
