Job summary

Capital One in the United States is seeking an AI Engineer 5 to advance our GenAI Platform and Agentic Infrastructure. You will design, build, and deploy AI software components, including foundation model training, LLM inference, and multi-model orchestration across production systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product teams to drive responsible AI, governance, observability, and cost-aware performance at scale. Prior experience in cloud and vector databases is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years in AI/ML development, or a Master's with 4+ years.
• 6+ years programming in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components, including foundation model training and inference.
• Lead multi-model orchestration and agentic workflows within scalable AI systems.
• Collaborate across engineers, research scientists, PMs, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
