Job summary

Slate is seeking an engineer to build AI/ML features and GenAI systems for an AI-native vehicle platform. You will work on data pipelines, model training, and production deployment, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain AI problems. Collaboration with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations is essential.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of ML experience or a PhD, and a strong ability to build end-to-end systems, including prompts, evaluation, and deployment in production.

Qualifications

• Foundational ML knowledge and model evaluation.
• Experience with supervised learning, NLP, CV, and time-series.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and building on top of them.
• Exposure to RAG, embeddings, or retrieval systems.
• Ability to rigorously evaluate model quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI/ML features end-to-end.
• Develop GenAI systems and RAG pipelines.
• Create data labeling and evaluation frameworks.
• Address manufacturing, supply chain AI problems.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations.
