Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. seeks a Practice Innovation Attorney to drive the firm’s AI-enabled innovation strategy, translating practice needs into practical technology solutions and leading adoption by attorneys and staff.

You will partner with HR, IT, and knowledge management to implement responsible GenAI use, develop playbooks, and guide adoption across practice groups. Occasional travel and hybrid/remote work are possible.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school.
5+ years of legal practice or equivalent in legal tech/innovation roles.
Experience with legal AI/GenAI platforms (Harvey, Westlaw AI, Lexis+ AI, CoCounsel).
Strong understanding of legal workflows and how emerging tech applies.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through adoption.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to advise diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for innovation and AI-enabled improvements.
Evaluate opportunities based on value, feasibility, risk, scalability.
Map current and future-state legal workflows and define requirements.
Develop recommendations for GenAI and emerging technologies.
Translate requirements into use cases and work with legal engineers, IT, and vendors.
Design and conduct workflow testing and document use and limitations.
Lead adoption with demonstrations, training, and communications.
Collaborate with HR to integrate AI initiatives into onboarding and development.
Serve as trusted advisor on responsible AI use; develop playbooks and resources.
Establish feedback channels to improve solutions and user experience.
