Job summary

Nationwide is seeking GenAI Interns to join the Enterprise Analytics Office in Columbus, Ohio, from May to August 2027. You will work with data scientists to apply large language models, AI agents, and agentic workflows to drive innovation across the insurance value chain in a highly collaborative environment.

Graduate candidates will be considered; some statistical/technical background is preferred. Nationwide notes that Stem OPT is not offered and sponsorship is typically limited for

Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, and agentic systems.
• Experience with NLP, deep learning, and generative modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps best practices.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, Scikit-learn)
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML pipelines a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end GenAI solutions with data scientists.
• Collaborate with business partners to apply LLMs across the value chain in Columbus and beyond.
