Elastic, the Search AI Company, is hiring a UX Engineer to bridge powerful AI capabilities with intuitive front-end interfaces. You will design and build high-performance UI for AI-driven products, using React and TypeScript, while collaborating with AI backend engineers and product teams to turn complex AI reasoning into seamless user interactions.

Qualifications

GenAI UI/UX experience with conversational interfaces.
Strong front-end skills: TS, JS, React, HTML5, CSS/Sass.
Experience with streaming AI outputs, token streaming, and async UI state.

Responsibilities

Translate AI processes into intuitive front-end interfaces.
Build and maintain UI component libraries for generative AI interactions.
Prototype novel interaction patterns for conversational AI and agent workflows.
Optimize UI for real-time AI responses and streaming latency.
Integrate front-end with internal services (RAG, ESRE, agent APIs).
Collaborate with design, product, and AI backend teams on iterative improvements.
Ensure accessibility and alignment with Elastic design system (EUI).
Implement UI analytics to monitor usage and performance.
Maintain comprehensive UI documentation.
