Job summary

Elastic is seeking a UX Engineer to bridge AI capabilities with intuitive user interfaces across internal products and platforms. You will design and implement front-end experiences that present AI reasoning clearly, including multi-modal interactions, agent workflows, and real-time streaming outputs.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end patterns, with hands-on experience building AI-driven UX.

Qualifications

Recent experience creating UI for GenAI applications, including conversational interfaces and dynamic prompt builders.
Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS/Sass with modular architecture.
Experience managing streaming or real-time AI responses and asynchronous UI state.

Responsibilities

Translate complex generative AI processes into intuitive front-end interfaces.
Design, build, and maintain scalable UI component libraries for generative AI interactions.
Prototype and implement novel interaction patterns for conversational AI and agent workflows.
Optimize UI performance for real-time AI responses and streaming latency.
Connect front-end interfaces to internal services including RAG endpoints and ESRE APIs.
Collaborate with UX designers, PMs, and AI backend engineers to refine AI workflows.
Ensure accessibility and alignment with Elastic's design system (EUI).
Implement front-end analytics to monitor usage, latency, and satisfaction.
