Job summary

Elastic is seeking a UX Engineer to bridge powerful AI capabilities with delightful user interfaces. You will design and implement front-end experiences for generative AI, with an emphasis on real-time responses, streaming UX, and scalable UI components.

You will collaborate with AI back-end engineers, product managers, and designers to craft enterprise workflows, improve accessibility, and align with the Elastic design system (EUI).

Qualifications

• Recent experience creating user interfaces for GenAI applications, including conversational interfaces and complex workflows.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS/Sass with modular architecture.
• Experience managing asynchronous UI state, websockets, and streaming LLM outputs.
• Solid grounding in UX design, wireframing, design systems, and rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex generative AI processes into intuitive front-end interfaces.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable UI component libraries for generative AI interactions.
• Prototype and implement novel interaction patterns for conversational AI and tool calls.
