Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a senior AI Forward Deployed Engineer to help customers build and productionize GenAI applications in the Washington, D.C./MD/VA metro area. This role can be remote with periodic on-site collaboration and travel as needed.

You will own end-to-end GenAI deployments, advise clients, and work with product and engineering teams to influence the roadmap. A graduate degree in a quantitative field and hands-on ML experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience building GenAI applications, incl. RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning.
• Use of tools such as HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy for development.
• Extensive hands-on ML/data science with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch.
• Production-grade ML deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to different audiences.
• Willingness to travel 4–8 weeks to meet clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions leveraging latest Databricks AI research.
• Own production rollouts of GenAI applications for clients.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor across multiple domains.
• Present at Data + AI Summit and internal/ external forums.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to influence roadmaps.
