Google Pittsburgh, PA, USA is seeking a Generative AI Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge frontier AI products and production-grade client deployments. You’ll code, debug, and ship bespoke agentic solutions directly within customer environments, operating with high autonomy in a founder’s mindset.

Based in Pittsburgh, you’ll partner with Go-To-Market, Cloud, and DeepMind teams to resolve integration challenges, ensure data readiness, and drive enterprise adoption of Gemini and Vertex AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building AI pipelines for structured/unstructured data.
• Experience delivering production-grade AI solutions.
• Architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (GCP).
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows.
• Architect and code the connectives between Google’s AI products and customer live infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests.
• Co-build with Customer Engineering teams to ensure long-term project success and high adoption.
