Mercor seeks advanced Excel experts with broad cross-industry experience to contribute to its GenAI initiative by shaping training data for AI models used in spreadsheets. This W-2 role, via Cincinnatus LLC, places you at a leading tech company as part of an extended workforce.

You will design realistic tasks, evaluate solutions, and provide clear feedback across domains, collaborating with SMEs. Ideal candidates have expert Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, Power

Qualifications

Advanced, professional-level Excel expertise with advanced formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays).
Breadth of Excel application across multiple industries and functions.
Teaching or training experience and/or a PhD is a strong plus.
Experience in AI training, human data annotation, or model evaluation is a plus.
Ability to engage reliably for 40 hours/week weekdays through the end of September, then 20 hours/week thereafter.
United States–based only.

Responsibilities

Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance on Excel-based tasks across domains.
Design realistic Excel tasks drawn from your professional experience, and write accurate, well-structured solutions.
Evaluate Excel tasks and solutions and provide clear, written feedback.
Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.
