Cardinal Health – Sonexus Health Pharmacy Services seeks an AI Engineer to design and deliver scalable GenAI-powered healthcare solutions. You will implement agentic AI workflows, build Python APIs, and ensure secure integration with clinical and pharmacy services.

The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant design, production readiness, and collaboration with product, data, and operations teams to improve patient access and outcomes.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years building GenAI/LLM-based applications.
Experience designing multi-step AI workflows.
Experience deploying AI solutions in Azure and/or GCP.
Exposure to secure, compliant AI in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and deploy Generative AI applications using RAG and prompt engineering.
Build Python-based APIs and components for AI services.
Develop agentic workflows with LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex.
Integrate AI into healthcare workflows with HIPAA considerations.
Deploy, monitor, and optimize GenAI models and pipelines.
