Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an AI/ML Engineer (GenAI) / Software Engineer 4 on a 18-month contingent contract based in Charlotte, NC. The role requires hybrid work with a minimum of three days on-site weekly, focusing on consulting complex software engineering initiatives and deploying GenAI-driven automation for corporate requests.

You will design AI agents, RAG solutions, and IDP workflows while ensuring policy and compliance alignment.

Qualifications

5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in AI, ML, Generative AI, or Intelligent Automation.
3+ years of hands-on Python and AI development frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Google ADK).
3+ years of experience implementing Document AI/IDP solutions.
Strong experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and workflow automation platforms.

Responsibilities

Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
Analyze and resolve multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Software Engineering challenges.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and deliverable requirements.
Collaborate strategically with client personnel to achieve project goals.
Implement Generative AI solutions to automate operational processes and corporate requests.
Develop and deploy AI agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
Build and maintain workflow automation platforms using Python, Lang Graph, and other AI frameworks.
Design and implement Document AI/IDP solutions involving OCR, PDF parsing, data extraction, and API integration.
