Job summary

State Farm seeks an AI/GenAI engineer to design and deploy LLM-powered solutions, build robust APIs, and create AI-driven workflows within a hybrid hub model. You will work with Bedrock, AgentCore, and data pipelines to deliver scalable, secure AI capabilities for our customers and agents.

You will champion responsible AI, develop full-stack AI applications, and drive DevSecOps practices across AI workloads while mentoring teammates and documenting best practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications and agentic systems.
• Strong foundation in designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications.
• Experience with cloud architecture (AWS) and Git version control; performance optimization.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration patterns and tool-use frameworks (function calling, MCP).
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for API and AI integration development.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI safety/guardrails.
• Ability to document clearly and write evaluation frameworks.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot).
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design & Deploy AI/GenAI solutions with LLM-powered apps and RAG pipelines.
• Build and maintain APIs (REST, FastAPI) for AI apps and orchestration.
• Develop data pipelines feeding AI/ML systems from enterprise data.
• Leverage Bedrock/AgentCore primitives for stateful, tool-using agents.
• Apply responsible AI practices, guardrails, and governance standards.
• Develop full-stack AI apps and dashboards for end users.
• Incorporate DevSecOps into CI/CD for AI workloads and observability.
• Create intuitive AI-powered interfaces with accessible UX.
• Document technical content and evaluation frameworks; share knowledge.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the team.
